Mon avis : "Rivers of London" de Ben Aaronovitch m'a offert une expérience de lecture intéressante, en me plongeant dans un Londres à la fois magique et surprenant. Dès les premières pages, j'ai trouvé Peter Grant, ce jeune policier, plutôt attachant, même si son charme peut sembler un peu cliché. L'univers secret qu'il découvre, peuplé de créatures fantastiques et de dieux fluviaux, est intrigant, même si parfois j'aurais aimé que certaines idées soient explorées plus en profondeur. J'ai apprécié l'humour et le mystère qui ponctuent le récit, même si quelques passages manquent de rythme. Les descriptions de Londres, avec ses recoins cachés et ses secrets, sont belles et m'ont permis d'imaginer les lieux, bien que parfois elles soient un peu trop détaillées à mon goût. La romance qui se développe en toile de fond est touchante, mais elle reste assez classique et prévisible. Ce livre constitue un bon mélange d'aventure et de mystère, et je le recommande si vous cherchez une lecture agréable. Je suis curieuse de découvrir la suite, mais sans attentes démesurées.
